First Draft Of GDD complete


Yay, first dev blog!

Design:

After completing the 3rd week class, I feel comfortable with the GDD. Spent a chunk of class balancing the ships. We wont know if it feels balanced until testing, but on paper, the ships seem fair. I think it was a good decision to cut out the AR element we had originally talked about, as it would add quite a bit of difficulty to the project. I'm excited to see the prototype the programmers are working on.

Programming:

After some discussion about the game idea as a whole, we decided to take away the AR feature to allow ourselves to focus on making a short, fun to play game. We also began some work on prototyping some main ideas of the project such as Fog of War and Basic networked - Turn based communication. Overall I think we made good progress in terms of every team member being on the same page and having goals to work towards.
